A word from the founder
I've always loved books in a way I found hard to explain. I can spend an hour in a bookshop just looking, wondering what subject I might discover next, and how it might connect with what I already know.
But I realised I was forgetting a big part of what I read: the ideas, the quotes, the connections I had made.
I built happybook for myself first, to keep all of that in one place and find new ideas for what to read next.

My thoughtsWe think we remember with our heads, but it's often a smell or a taste that reopens the door. It made me want to note what I feel while reading, not just what I understand.

Take a photo of the page: happybook reads all the text. Swipe over the lines you want to keep, like a highlighter, fix anything if needed, then add two lines of your own.

The My notes graph gathers all your notes around their books. Drag one note onto another to connect them, even from two different books, and name the link with a word.
4Build up
Your library, your lists, your notes: everything stays, and you come back to it whenever you want. A quote strikes you? Share it as a beautiful image. After a year, it's no longer a pile of books read, it's what you got out of them.

What's the difference with Goodreads?
Goodreads keeps the list of what you read. happybook helps you keep what books did to you: the passages that struck you, what you thought of them, and your notes connected to each other. All in a simple app built for your phone.
Are my notes public?
No. Your notes, your thoughts and your library stay private. You only share the quotes you choose, as images.
Can I use it now?
Yes! happybook is available now on the App Store. The Android app is coming very soon.
